Sounds: A Poem.

Dropping images. Lullaby. The hypnotic trickling patter of heavy and rapid raindrops on thick glass panes.

Calculating clicking and tapping of fingertips on the keys of a rusty vintage typewriter.

Sweltering sizzling of chopped onions thrown on a hot oiled frying pan.

Chomping of thick freezing new snow underneath warm furry boots.

Crumbly soft scratching of pencil lead on fresh pristine white paper.

Lovely crunching of cascading gravel underneath summer shoes.

Swooshing and swirling of bubbly water down a drain.

Rustling of cellophane wrapped around fragrant flowers.

Coughing ignition and the purring of an old car engine.

Slurping of hot steaming tea on a cold day.

Crackling and spitting from a blazing bonfire.

Bellowing grumbling and groaning of thunder.

Humming chesty buzzing of bumble bees.

Opening and closing of wooden doors.

Rhythmic trotting of horses hoofs.

Munching of chocolate biscuits.

Haunting howls of whipping wind.

Gurning squeaks of a playful kitten.

Gargling laughter of a baby.
